The 6 types of Product Managers. Which one do you need?

While I don’t refer to this post by Catherine (Kit) Ulrich as much, it has a great framework for the type of product manager I may need at any given point, and it reminds me to evaluate what kind of product manager I am.

Like so many classifications, I don’t think an individual is exclusively one type only. But I do believe each product manager has a default type and then when needed, will alter their behavior to be a different type.

Self-assessment is inherently flawed, but with that caveat, I would call myself primarily a “Workflow Warrior,” but “Platform” is a close second.
